Aegean Airlines offers the possibility of online check-in for most of the available routes. In many of them, check-in can be done through the web page or smartphone, as well as from the special stations made available for this function in the waiting areas of the airport departure terminals. In any case, it is necessary to present the booking code or the ticket number.

Online check-in with Aegean Airlines is available from 48 hours to 30 minutes before flight departure, depending on the airport from which you fly; in some, up to 60 minutes before departure. However, it is important to keep in mind that if boarding does not take place within 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time, the seat will be made available to other travelers.

When you check in online, you can confirm the seat that is automatically assigned or choose another one as you like. You can also print your boarding pass at home or at the special machines at the airport; or, if you prefer, collect it directly at the check-in desk.

Informations

Founded in 1999, Aegean Airlines mainly offers medium and short haul flights, most of them within Greece. It also operates flights to hundreds of international destinations, thanks to various collaborations with other airlines. Of particular importance is the relationship it has had with Lufthansa since 2005, which allows it to establish frequent connections with Germany.

Aegean Airlines is the Greek flag carrier and has a fleet of 60 aircraft, mostly Airbus, but also several Bombardier DH8s and some ATR 42s. The main office is located in Eleftherios Venizelos Athens International Airport, however you can fly with Aegean Airlines also from Thessaloniki and Heraklion (from the latter city only for international destinations).

Since 2010 Aegean Airlines has been part of the Star Alliance, the prestigious network of international airlines to which other airlines such as Turkish Airlines also belong.
