Informations

Ryanair is a low cost airline of Irish origin. It was founded in 1985 by the Ryan family and now has connections to many European countries, including Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino airports.

Ryanair’s first route was from Waterford, Ireland, to London and on this first flight, and on other flights at the airline’s early stage, there were cabin crew no taller than 1,58 meters (5 feet). This is to facilitate movement within the cramped cabin of the plane.

Ryanair is Europe’s leader in low-fare flights; a prime position that puts it ahead of the competitor easyJet.
Ryanair’s fleet currently has 430 Boeing 737 aircraft. The company can boast 87 departure bases, over 2000 daily flights and coverage of 215 destinations, distributed in 36 different countries, with landings in almost all European countries, to which they add destinations such as Israel, Morocco and the Canary Islands. Ryanair cheap flights are used by over 130 million passengers every year.

In March 2018 Ryanair entered into a partnership with another historic Irish airline, Aer Lingus, for an even wider coverage of European and non-European routes.

Each passenger can have up to 3 checked bags, weighing 20 kg each. Ryanair baggage booking must be completed at the time of online booking or added later, up to 2 hours before departure. In case of purchase beyond the allowed time limit, a higher baggage allowance is applied.

For those traveling with children, Ryanair offers the possibility of free transport of a foldable stroller or pram for each child, plus a car seat or travel cot.

Additional items can be added for a slight surcharge. Large sports or musical equipment can be transported in the hold, well packed, with specific rates, or, in the case of small dimensions, brought into the cabin, purchasing a regular extra seat.

In any case, the company does not accept items weighing more than 32 kg and with dimensions that exceed 81 cm x 119 cm x 119 cm.

Useful equipment to allow the mobility of disabled people is not subject to these limitations. Liquid medicines can be transported, provided they are available for inspection.
